As a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) & Certified Canadian Professional Ergonomist (CCPE), Mandy provides a unique perspective combining her past experience as a physiotherapist with a Masters Degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics, to help workers identify and resolve barriers to creating a low-musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risk workplace. Mandy’s approach focuses on controlling the risk factors related to the design of the workplace and work methods, as well as the risk factors related to employee work habits and posture. Mandy’s particular passion for training inspired her to complete a BEd and has allowed her to further develop her skills to coach staff across all levels of a client organization. Mandy’s past experience lies across a variety of industries including heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, construction materials, food and beverage, healthcare, high tech, and government. In her current role, Mandy is putting her years of experience to use by mentoring junior employees and working on new innovations and systems to keep MoveSafe moving forward into the future.
When not keeping her colleagues in line Mandy can usually be found on the soccer pitch. Whether playing in tournaments around the world or simply having a kick around with her children, Mandy appreciates the ‘beautiful game’. In the off-season, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and taking advantage of the myriad outdoor opportunities the West Coast offers.
