Home Office Comprehensive Evaluations
For high priority individuals (identified through our discomfort survey or identified ergonomic concerns) we would recommend a 45 minute remote evaluation, with report.
Remote Comprehensive Evaluations are intended for individuals with identified concerns that want a thorough assessment of their workstation with written recommendations to address the identified concerns.
Home office evaluations are performed one-on-one through a remote interface (such as Zoom) that can work with your organization’s security requirements. MoveSafe will collect some background information through a simple survey to help us prepare, and then we’ll connect with the employee at a pre-booked time. A MoveSafe ergonomics consultant will virtually assess the work area for risk and assist the employee in making immediate changes to reduce risk and discomfort, such as by adjusting, modifying or repositioning chairs, laptops or other equipment. We will identify mismatches between the worker and their work space as well as make recommendations to improve the fit and comfort of the work area.
MoveSafe will also spend time coaching the employee on appropriate postures and behaviours to help reduce potential discomfort, and make additional recommendations (if necessary) for specific ergonomic equipment to improve ergonomics in the home office environment. Employees may be provided with specific stretches or workplace coaching points, as appropriate, to reduce their particular discomforts or minimize stress on overused areas.
The remote assessment includes a summary report documenting any equipment or behavioural recommendations as well as electronic reference material to reinforce information provided during the assessment.

I really appreciate your efforts, and I agree fully with all the concepts you teach. There is nothing more that I would love, than to get the culture of everyone here in woodlands to be proactive about preparing yourself physically for the job – office or fieldwork…it’s the root to many of the injuries we see.

After your team has attended our webinar (to cover basic home office ergonomics) we would recommend providing each employee with a 10 to 15 minute individual remote review of their workstation.
Participants will gain practical knowledge on how to use their bodies properly and how to implement healthy movement habits to improve their quality of life.
The best value for your committee is to learn how to create awareness around healthy posture and movement to prevent soft tissue injuries.
